A polycrystalline panel will be about 1" larger. This larger footprint isn't that noticeable. Solar technology has grown steady in the last few years. Most information between poly and mono solar panels is based on old solar technology. With new technology polycrystalline solar panels are a viable option. Most polycrystalline solar panels work better under partial or low light situations. Poly does better with early morning / late evening sun and cloudy situations. Polycrystalline is less expensive to make. It can save you hundreds of dollars and perform just as good if not better than monocrystalline technology.
